Riverstones

New Zealand was the last of the great gold rushs of the 1860’s and in those heady days of the 1860s, men went missing and were never found. Some drowned, some starved, some simply disappeared never to be seen again.

Mary Healey from Ireland finds herself alone in a new country with six children.

Scattered Stones

The second book in the Riverstones series, Scattered Stones continues the story of Mary Healey and her family during the gold rush in Central Otago, New Zealand.

Jim, Mary’s husband, has returned, and together they are trying to build a future that will become a legacy.

Sticks and Stones

The third book in the Riverstones series, Sticks and Stones, continues the story of Mary Healey and her family’s life on the goldfields.
Charles Butler, the man who tried to kill Mary, and her husband, Jim, has been arrested, and is to be tried for arson and attempted murder.

Lasting Legacy

A departure from my usual writing, my Aunt Lorna Patterson sent me a suitcase full of memorabilia of her father, my grandfather, life’s work.  It was a dry as dust collection of the awards, certificates and newspaper clippings collected over the years by the family.

On digging deeping into the life of grandfather I never knew I asked what made one man stand out from the rest?  What makes a man a great leader?

A Box of exs in My Garage

Sally Gelee is a commitment-phobe looking for lasting love.

She works in a rest home, it’s a nice, safe environment; the men there aren’t fast enough to catch her and they pose no threat. Being a commitment-phobe, that suits her, but she’s also a hopeless romantic searching for forever love.
